Adult Life Groups
Sunday Morning Life Groups
Our vision is to help people look to Jesus and look like Jesus. Through gathering with other Christians for mutual support, Bible study, shared mission and ministry, our Sunday morning life groups lead people through meeting Jesus, learning Jesus’ message and living out their calling in the world.
All groups meet on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. unles noted.
Room 316 / Library
This group uses Bible-based studies with a Wesleyan approach to see the connection between social issues and our faith. Single and married group members love to welcome “All Comers” to join us!
Ages 30s – 40s
This class is a community of adults in our late 30’s-late 40’s who actively build relationships with each other as they walk through life together. We have both couples and singles in our group.
Ages 30s – 40s
This group meets to deepen their faith through in-depth challenging studies and discussions, service, and fellowship. Studies alternate between a book of the Bible and a Christian study book.
Ages late 50s and up
The group studies the stories of the Bible and major Christian authors, Adam Hamilton, James Moore, Bruce Metzger, John Ortberg and others.
Living In Faith
Ages 40s to 60s
This group focuses on the application of Christian discipleship in weekly lessons on contemporary issues, family life, and Bible study. Joining this class can be a gateway for those who have an interest in other roles in the church. Join us on Realm to get the schedule if you want to join. Our class mission project is to serve as the 5th Saturday team for Austin Street.
Ages 45-65, empty nesters
This group aims to explore life in an imperfect world through Bible study and other relevant books and studies. This group of couples and singles are at various stages of their faith journey and encourage anyone to share the walk with them.
Adults of all ages
This group enjoys laughter and lively discussion of books and videos by contemporary Christian authors.
Ages 60 and up
Most members of this group are faithful servants of God and fun-loving persons ready to share and participate in Christian fellowship. Studies are Bible-based.
Small Life Groups
Connect as part of a Small Life Group!
Looking for a way to connect with others in the church and grow in your faith in this time of social distancing? Join a Life Group! A Life Group is a small group of 8-12 people who meet weekly (by Zoom right now, but typically in homes) to build relationships, grow spiritually, and share in life together. Whatever age or stage of life you are in, Life Groups are a place where you can connect deeply with God and one another. For more information, email Steve Moomau (firstname.lastname@example.org).

Join us for a Bible study on Wednesday mornings from 10:30-11:45 am beginning September 21. The leader is Senior Pastor Tom Palmer. This will be a study of Simply Christian. Like C. S. Lewis did in his classic Mere Christianity, N.T. Wright makes the case for Christian faith for modern readers. Using clear, simple language to convey a profound message, Wright walks the reader through the Christian faith step-by-step and question by question, and reveals how basic inquiries such as Why is justice fair? Why are so many people pursuing spirituality? Why do we crave relationship? And why is beauty so beautiful? Simply Christian takes us into the mystery of God and God’s plan for us and offers compelling reasons for renewed faith. Class will meet in the Library.
Some gently used books are available (free) for use during the study upon request, new books ordered through the church are $15, payable the first day of class.
This is a women’s class that explores the Bible, the Biblical text, culture, and life, helping the Biblical narrative come alive.
