FaithWorks Mission Happenings

FaithWorks Opportunities

Our next FaithWorks Sunday is November 28. On that day we can all get into the Holiday Spirit as we drop off toys for CCA or Methodist Children’s Home, drop off food for CCA, Metrocrest, or Coppell Cares and help sort the food, buy tamales from Christ’s Foundry, give blood through Carter BloodCare . . . So many ways to help our neighbors in this season.

Questions, contact Pastor Beth at

We need help on Sunday, November 28 to sort the food donations. Please sign up here.

Supporting CCA this Christmas

You can offer hope to the community through donating items to the Christian Community Action (CCA) toy drive or by volunteering.

Toy Drive: If you are attending our live worship on Sunday morning, you can pick-up an ornament tag(s) after worship (beginning November 7); or you can find our list on-line here. Shop for the item listed and then return the item (not wrapped) with the tag attached (or note if item selected on-line) to the church office during office hours (Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm) or after worship on Sunday. If ordered through Amazon or AmazonSmile, gifts can be sent directly to the church.

Shipping address is:
First United Methodist Church
Note: CCA Christmas

We will accept gifts on Faith Works Sunday, November 28, or during the week of November 29 to the church office – please have gifts at the church no later than Thursday December 2. PLEASE do not drop in the area behind the chapel. These items will stock the CCA “Christmas Store” where underprivileged families who are enrolled in the CCA program can come get gifts for their kids.

Please contact Pastor Beth at for additional information, or to arrange an alternate delivery time.

Volunteer: CCA has various volunteer openings for the holiday season. To sign up as a volunteer, go to

First Coppell is partnering with Methodist Children’s Home again this Christmas to provide kids with clothes and gifts that will make their season bright! If you or your family would like to “adopt” and shop for a child, click here to sign up. You do not have to purchase everything on a child’s list but we encourage you to have 3 items for each child.
