Mission trips play a major role in the faith formation of students as they grow and develop their own foundation. Mission trips gives students the chance to grow in God’s grace, love with all their heart, and serve with all their strength in a number of different ways. Whether it is Costa Rica or a summer mission trip to a local Texas town in need, our students are challenged each time to find new and exciting ways to experience and spread the love of God. Your donation will make it possible to supply the needed items for a mission trip as well as make it possible for us to never say “no” to a student who wants to experience a mission trip during their time in our ministry. For more information, please reach out to Pastor Caleb.
You can help raise the money for this life saving service writing a check payable to FUMC with memo “Student Missions” or you can text FUMCC to 73256. You will receive a link and simply follow the instructions. |

Public education funding in Texas faces significant challenges, impacting schools, teachers, and students across the state. This presentation will explore the key factors contributing to the funding challenges, including state funding formulas and legislative decisions. We will also discuss how the Coppell ISD community can navigate these challenges through local initiatives and advocacy. Maintaining strong public schools is essential not only for student success and career readiness but also for preserving high property values in our community. Together, we can work toward a stronger future for Texas public schools. This event is brought together by Communities United for Public Education, hosted by First UMC Coppell, Church and Society committee. The featured speakers are David Caviness, acting as a private citizen, and Jill Hill, a member of Communities United, co-president of Pinkerton PTO, and a very active community member. The door opens at 6pm, and the presentation will start at 6:30pm. |
