The Mother’s of Seniors 2022 group is hosting an informal lunch with speaker/life coach JoAnn Schauf on Sunday, June 5th from 12-2 pm in Wesley Hall. The title is How to be Successful in College and is for Graduating Seniors Class of 2022 and Upcoming Seniors Class of 2023 and their parent. The Moms in our group have uncovered some topics that we think will help our kids as we send them off to college in the Fall. We will serve lunch at noon and Joann will discuss some highlights that she think will help the teens with their transition into college. Attendees can RSVP to Jen.Bunting@verizon.net.
Some bullet points include:
- Time management
- Making friends
- Safety
- Overcoming adversity
- How to handle emotions
- Confidence
- Surrounding yourself with people that lift you up!
After the presentation, we are hoping some college kids that are home for the summer will join us for a Q&A session. We would love for them the share their experience with going off to college. “What they wish they knew? Some of the highlights?? Some of the struggles?” A sign-up for College Kids Panel can be found here.
