Event Details

Project Transformation (PT) is a ministry of the United Methodist Church, which provides both after-school and summer programs in underserved communities. Here are ways to support PT:

Four Ways You Can Support Project Transformation

  • Volunteer to read one-on-one with children during our two reading weeks at Chapel Hill UMC in Farmers Branch from 9:30 am to noon, June 20-23 and June 27-30. Meet daily at FUMC Coppell at 8:45 am to carpool and arrive at Chapel Hill by 9:15 am.  We need 10 volunteers each day. (click here). All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, or 13-15 years old with a parent or guardian present during their volunteer shift.  Volunteers 18+ must have completed the MinistrySafe online training in the past two years.  Deadline to complete MinistrySafe is June 10.  Find info about MinistrySafe here.

  • Volunteer at Family Fun Night at Chapel Hill UMC on Thursday, June 23.  Provide desserts.  Cook and serve dinner to 150 children and parents.  Help with fun activities such as carnival games and bounce house.  Sign up at Project Transformation Family Fun Night

  • Donate to help sponsor a Project Transformation intern and provide dinners to 100 interns.  Donate here.
