Stephen Ministry
This ministry provides one-on-one Christian care giving by lay church members trained to be Christian caregivers. Stephen Ministers care for people facing tough times. We all experience challenges in life – times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers have gone through 50 hours of specialized training and are ready to provide emotional and spiritual care to persons going through difficult times, such as:
- Loneliness
- Loss of a loved one
- Illness or Hospitalization
- Divorce or separation
- Unemployment or job crises
- Recovery after an accident or disaster
- Aging process
- Changes in relationships
- Parenting challenges
- And many more…
Stephen Ministers usually meet for one hour, once a week. There is no charge to have a Stephen Minister. Stephen Ministry is strictly confidential.
