Children's Ministries

First United Methodist Church of Coppell is a busy place all during the week as well as Sunday mornings! Join us in ministries, programs, fellowship groups, Bible studies, concerts and events for all ages and interests.

At First United Methodist Church of Coppell

  • We believe in upholding children as sacred gifts from God.
  • We strive to create a greater presence and awareness of children and their needs.
  • We advocate for children raising them up in the eyes of the world.
  • We teach children that Christ calls all of us, no matter how old we are, to serve others in God’s love.
  • We understand that the role of helping children to grow in their spirituality and develop into true disciples of Christ is a blessed call and a vow that the congregation makes at a child’s baptism.
  • We welcome children of all ages to be a part of our worship service and partake in the Lord’s Supper.
  • We believe that children have many gifts to share with the body of Christ.
  • We believe in sharing the love of Christ with all of God’s children!

Please contact Rev. Jennifer Scott/Pastor of Children’s Ministries (jscott@fumccoppell.org) for more information about the following:

Nursery
Loving care is offered in the Church’s Nurseries for infants through young 3 year olds
(children who turned 3 after September 1st of the current academic year). Please check in at the nursery desk in Wesley Hall.

  • Professional childcare personnel as well as parent volunteers provide a safe, welcoming Christian atmosphere for our youngest children.
  • Our nursery is available for all worship service times and for Sunday School.
  • To ensure that parents can fully experience fellowship, study and worship with assurance that their nursery child is safe and well cared for, we provide parents with vibrating beepers when they register their child for nursery care.

Additional nursery hours are available for Bible Study classes and other special church events. Parents may call the childcare reservation line at  972-462-0471 extension #226. Childcare can only be guaranteed if a reservation is made 48 hours in advance.

Wee Worship

Register for Wee Worship at the desk in Wesley Hall before the service each Sunday so your child will receive a nametag for security purposes.
